All GRR volunteers, foster parents, and adoptive families in the San Antonio area are invited to an informal picnic to get acquainted with one another.



When: SAT. Nov. 1st



Where: Al Becken Pavilion # 1

McAllister Park (13102 Jones-Maltsberger Road)

Time: Noon to 4 pm


Bring a picnic lunch and drinks for you and your family. (Yes, K-9’s are invited).



We need a tentative headcount for this gathering. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to this e-mail (oldgoldens@satx.rr.com) with the number attending in your group.



NOTE: The cost of renting this facility is $80. We will have a “donation bucket” for anyone wishing to contribute to the rental cost. Any donations received in excess of the rental cost will be given to the GRR treasury.



Directions:

McAllister Park is located North of the San Antonio Airport. When traveling U.S. highway 281, take the East Nakoma Street exit. Go East on Nakona Street which turns into Jones-Maltsberger after 8/10 mile. Follow Jones-Maltsberger to the main park entrance (13102 Jones-Maltsberger Road). The entrance is a short distance past the San Antonio Police substation. {The Park entrance is approximately 2 ½ miles from the highway 281 exit}.

Turn right into the park (Main Road). At the “T” intersection, turn right on Buckhorn Road. The pavilion is approximately 4/10 mile from the “T” intersection.



The dog park area is about a mile from our picnic area. There is also a playground about 3/10 mile from our pavilion.
